In modern-day India, it is youths who are at the highest risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. Youths belonging to lower socio-economic strata are even more vulnerable due to various factors, including:

1. •A lack of sexual and reproductive health education.
   

2. •High exposure to sex without a proper understanding of responsible behavior.
   

3. •A prevalence of myths and misconceptions regarding sexual practices.
   

4. •Low self esteem combined with with a lack of life aspirations and goals.
   

Hence, YUVA (Youth Unite for Voluntary Action), seeks to ameliorate the situation of hundreds of underprivileged youths in New Delhi by providing education, mentoring, and training free of cost.
